Crispy fallen leaves blanket the forest floor
Sun beams catch the rising mist
making it suddenly visible
Cooler air filters through the wooded bush
Squirrels scurry to bury their new-found treasures
Summer is over and we can't call it back
Autumn has arrived.
If only we could freeze it before the
Real deep freeze arrives.
Fall beauty is unsurpassed
Seasons change
God doesn't
He is immutable
And I'm thankful
For that!

amen!
ReplyDeleteour leaves are almost all gone and the barrenness of the season is almost upon us ... i grab at whatever colour & beauty i can - to hold on to ... to remember that God is still there, tho' the season is a silent one ...
Hello, Pilgrim!
ReplyDeleteThank God that He IS unchangeable...I was listening to the Dave Ramsey Show yesterday, and his quote of the day was on just that...how man can quickly hange, but God remains the same forever. I wish I could remember the exact quote, and I would share it on Pals!
Do you have any update for us on Dean McAmmond's condition? You posted about him after the last nasty hit he received during the play-offs, and I don't know if the Pals know about this one, yet.
God bless you,
LPP
Both the picture and the poem are beautiful. I have linked to this post in my post today.
