Countdown to the Cup
Well, my friends, the Stanley Cup Finals begin tonight! If you want to know how I feel about this momentous occasion, please check out my earlier post entitled NEVER BEFORE.
To be honest, I'll be a nervous wreck! I'm wanting the Senators to win the Cup so much...for Mike's sake and for Chris Neil and for the Sens' President, Roy Mlakar. All of them mean so much to me that to see them miss out would tear my heart out. Pretty serious words but they're heartfelt.
So, as the countdown gets lower I'm praying for Mike in particular. I pray that regardless of the outcome, he will shine and continue to be such a powerful example of true, genuine Christianity. Mike has had such a positive impact on so many people in the Ottawa area and beyond. Do I sound proud of him? YES, I AM!
So hear we go! GO SENS GO!

I just had a few moments to check your blog, and I guess that we are both thinking about the same thing! To be honest, I've never listened to all the Stanley Cup final games until the end, because they are over at 10:30, and I have to get up at 5:15 a.m....so the past 3 cups I've only listened game seven through the last second. I think I'm going to have a very tiring two weeks, now...I can't imagine missing a single ending to any of the upcoming games!
ReplyDeleteGO SENS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be rooting for them! :)
ReplyDeleteHi hebrews 11:1
Go Sens Go! I probably won't see or hear too much of the games because when they are important games like this, I tend to come close to having a heart attack if the score is too close!
ReplyDeleteDid you see the news tonight? Gary Dalliday interviewed your brother Jim and Gary mentioned that he had read your blog and saw the story about Elgin and Mike. You're famous now that you've had your blog mentioned on CHEX! If only they had given the address...you might have easily increased readership to more than 20 people! LOL...I KNOW there are more than 20 people reading this...
I think it is great though...Mike seems to be getting lots of attention and that is a great way for him to share and show his faith...I think that great things will come of this series regardless of who brings home the cup (but hey, we all know it's coming to Ottawa, which means that it'll make another trip to Peterborough!)
