Norm Clements, founder of National Sports and driving force behind the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation (check link), throws a humdinger of a picnic every August. This year's affair was no exception. Two years ago Norm (a good friend) invited our family to attend. This year we chartered a bus and brought the Dreamplayers along from Peterborough. This is a group of young adults with various challenges who meet weekly for much of the year to practice for their dramatic presentations and musical revues.
Here are a few photos from the picnic at Norm's place north of Uxbridge including one of Norm greeting Tamara (who lives with us) as she got off the shuttle bus. All the food, fun and games were FREE! Wow! We had a great time!
Be sure to check out the site for the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation. Jennifer is Norm's granddaughter who died when just a little girl.
Thanks, Norm, for caring for those who often are forgotten and pushed aside! And...thanks, Nancy Clements, for being a good friend and a very supportive wife! We love you both!
Tamara looks like a darling..
