Guess what this is? It's the game puck from the Petes' 3-2 win over the Quebec Remparts at the Memorial Cup Tournament in Moncton, NB last month.Guess who gave it to me? David Shantz has been such a blessing to me and many others this season.
His generosity has refreshed so many people. The other day he autographed a T-shirt for a young ten-year-old boy who has not been very well of late. We didn't realize until we gave Will his shirt that Shantzy was his favorite player. Will was thrilled! It takes so little to brighten someone's day.
That's what that game puck did for me that night. I certainly appreciated David's kind gesture but I really think he should have it for his trophy case. Don't you agree?
