Green Thumb???

Looking at this picture I should have known that this cute little guy standing in the green would end up being part of the Toronto Blue Jays' grounds crew.

Brent Erskine, his brother Graeme and his dad Ken all became friends of mine during the early days of Blue Jay history back at the "mistake by the lake", Exhibition Stadium. Several players invited both Brent and then Graeme to attend our Sunday chapel services at the ballpark and both were impacted by these gatherings.

Their father, Ken, became a close friend after that and we have stayed in touch, to some measure, ever since.

The photo of Brent was on the invitation to attend his 40th birthday in a couple of weeks. My, how time flies.
