For 32 years I've been writing letters, notes and cards of encouragement to athletes. Recently I've expanded my "epistle" writing to include everyone...not just athletes. Everybody loves "an encouraging word" from time to time.Fortunately we don't need a college degree to excel in this form of ministry. That's a good thing because I don't have one.
Everything that you need is found in this picture. A desk, a chair, a lamp, some notes, a pen and a window to look through to get some inspiration.
Why not write a friend in the next week! Let them know that you care. You'll be glad you did, the recipient certainly will be blessed and the Father's heart will be moved...because He loves it when we encourage one another. "Bear one another's burdens and thus fulfil the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2

Hey David...you've got me stumped. The picture looks similar to one on Debra's site As I See It Now. But it's not an exact match.
ReplyDeleteYou are so correct...and timely word of encouragement means so much to people. I know when I receive it...it's usually God's timing and just when I need it most.
I try to remember how I feel when receiving that encouragement and do likewise for others.
