A challenging thought from a favorite preacher of mine, Joe Stowell:
"Ministry for my own significance and recognition is a real danger, especially working with professional athletes. It's a huge seduction. We have to make up our minds. Are we doing ministry to advance Christ or to advance me?" - Joseph Stowell
This is certainly a question I need to ask. I know my answer but the temptation is always there to advance my own agenda. "Father, keep my heart pure and my motives beyond reproach for the sake of Your Name and Your gospel. AMEN!"
