Tonight I connected an old record player I bought for $15.00 several weeks ago. What a thrill to get out my old 33 rpm records and spin a few discs! It brought back great memories! Wow! What a night! The McDuff Brothers were one of my favorite groups but I hadn't heard them for years. On the back of their "I Must Tell Jesus" album I found this dedication:
We dedicate this album to Mother:
Love undisguised,
Rejoicing in hope,
Patient in tribulation,
Continuing instant in prayer!
As I read this I thought of my mother. All four lines of that tribute apply to my mom! What a godly woman! I thank God that it was my mother who led me to faith in Jesus Christ over 53 years ago! Hallelujah!
What's a record?? :)
ReplyDeleteJust kidding, the first album I got as a kid was Lionel Ritchie! I still have a few. Glad to hear DJ Pilgrim still spinning tracks. Bring back vinyl!!
Hey David,
ReplyDeleteIt's been a bit since I have looked at you blog site. I had a few computer problems and have recently begun to look at emails and such that piled up.
Thanks for the insights and encouragement that I find from your sites.
About Pat Kelly. It always astounded me that someone with the opportunity to speak at so many "big" places always found time to speak at the smaller ones too. Amberson, PA is hidden in a valley just about 30 miles from me and is a beautiful setting. Interestingly I was planning to attend Revival Services at my sisters church this month because Pat was to be there.
I have been praying for you daughter since I finally opened the emails. In trust of our Lord I will raise her before the greatest healer of all.
Oh, by the way, Go Angels! For the same reasons you mentioned.
Praying for you and rejoicing in our constant friendship.
